Changelog, the demo is up.

=Warning=
There is a possibility that if you load your old save file, you'll get stuck in a wall. Please move your character to the castle or to the starter area to make sure that doesn't happen before updating the game.

Ideally, to avoid all possible problems, please start a new save file. There are some changes that are best checked from the start anyways.

=Warning over=

Well. Hi.

I guess it is finally that time to release the demo.

And probably that time for me to go back to work. So, from now on, don't expect frequent updates because, ya know. Gotta survive somehow.

I sort of hope that this release will bring new people in, regardless of their interests. Should be polished up enough for a stable build... There might still be some issues but, i doubt there is anything gamebreaking left.

If you spot any bugs, drop them in the forums. Regardless of which version you are playing. Thanks again.

The new downloads should be avaliable at:

https://scaryscary.itch.io/zetharis-mature  for the mature version (no adult scenes)

and

https://scaryscary.itch.io/zetharis-adults-only for nsfw version.

With all that aside, here's the changelog.

New:

-Added a scene for m/m encounter with Villeo

-Added a system that changes battle music in combat encounters. (Although, because I don't have musicians to help me out with the game, there's only one track. It's new though.)

-Androids got a redesign. They were too... Strong and military looking. I saved that sprite just in case I'll need it later though. Just doesn't fit with what i was going for.

-Added a new m/m scene for the androids.

-Added safe for work version. See: LINK HERE.

-Added a special character.

-Added a dialogue system for a special character. Not gonna say much about them, but they are important to the main plotline.

-Added visuals and tabs to the character creation. It is now more organized, and has aproximate visual preview of your character.

-Added/Changed music to be more fitting.

-Added a demo ending sequence. It's not huge.

-Added some more NPCs, Niela was also added, she can become a companion. She also has a different combat/gameplay gimmick compared to other party members.

-Added a hint/tutorial system. Can be disabled during character creation. By default always on. Which means if you load an older save, it might pop up even if you don't want it. Sorry!

-Added more stuff to the main quest, which will lead you to the end of the demo. It is short, but it's an rpg. Side content is usually what adds up to the lenght.

-Reorganized enemy code for easier adjustments later.

-Reorganized code in general to be less messy for me to work with. You won't notice it.

-Character creation has been reworked to be more organized, with an aproximate visual preview.

-Naga town is now open.. Or well, as open as it could be. I ran out of time to fully implement it. Sorry.

-Removed placeholder text/sprites and replaced them.

-Adjusted text to make it clear that this is the demo version of the game.

-Adjusted the user interface to be a little bit less crowded in the overworld.

-Credits have been updated to include music artists name, and to add boring legal information regarding licenses.

-Resting anywhere now also properly advances time by 8 hours, with correct next day calculation.

-Battle hp no longer refills from each fight, MP, ST, HP is now properly saved in each save and load.

-Characters that were downed in combat now get 1 hp in the start of the next fight, as originally intended. Who knew stuff is broken.

-Can now rest/heal in camp. It is done once per day.

-Camp UI have been changed to be easier to understand.

-Made it so there are no longer any invisible spots from characters that were removed from the party. Now everyone shows up properly. As for the order, they follow the same combat order as in the camp menu.

-Added a new system for saving and loading certain gameobject states. (Mainly for more advanced quests... and shortcuts, I guess. Not used that much in the demo. Don't worry about it.)

-Added a Demo Flag for some doors, meaning they are inaccessible... Sorry!

-Unity has been updated to the latest LTS version.

Fixes:

-Fixed a bug with the game incorrectly saving data in saveslot 0, now it should save and load properly.

-Fixed the incorrect HP/ST/MP/Name/Picture values in the camp UI.

-Fixed library guardians not appearing when they should.

-Fixed Kelly's events never loading or saving.

-Fixed sun disappearing randomly when loading in and entering/exiting the dungeons.

-Fixed a very strange bug when if player was alone during combat they'd automatically lose...? How even... Like... what the fuck. This has been fixed and works 100% now.

-Fixed a bug where removing a party member didn't remove their battle interface in combat.

-Fixed a bug that didn't allow you to ask Redrik questions until you see his scene.
-Fixed a bug that didn't refresh characters in camp upon loading a different save file, causing some issues.

-Fixed a bug where removing a party member mid game from the party caused problems and possible hard lock. Now the system works properly and skips a party member if they are disabled, just like if they were dead.

-Fixed a bug where the enemy could attack an empty party member slot.

-Fixed enemy encounters not going away when loading a save file on a different time and location rather than the location of where the save was created.

-Fixed a bug where Hex didn't open the door to the library of ancients when he was supposed to.

-Fixed a bug where somehow player had more or less press turns than intended, causing the combat system to break.

-Fixed in-game text pop ups (Such as saving/loading file notifications) ocasionately cutting off.

-Fixed some ocasional z-fighting on mobile.

-Fixed a bug where running away from Yalrak will not disable the talk button and wouldn't reset some other dialogue buttons.

-Fixed some (although not all) typos.

-Fixed USE button sometimes not deactivating.

-Fixed chests just disappearing upon entering them without using them.
