Patch 0.03 Is here.


First of all, thank you for sticking with the game. It means a lot to me. In this patch I’ve addressed most of the biggest problems that held the game down, it has been delayed, but it's finally here.

Anyway. I said I’ll delay the patch to add some content, but. I’ve decided instead to get rid of the nastiest things that have been plaguing the game. (No, I don’t mean the lewd things, I mean stuff like typos, certain stupid bugs, and blabla.)

(So sorry about this. I felt like this was more important at the moment, so i hope you can understand me ._. )


With that being done, the next patch should be entirely focused on adding up more content. (and running away from battle. I didn't forget that!)

Right now the plan is going like this:

Polish/Fixes > Content > Polish/Fixes > Content > Etc. Etc. Basically, every second patch will be adding content to the game.

Version 0.03 “Oh.”


General:


Redrik has to be delayed. Sorry about that, he's still technically in the game, just inaccessible. I need some time to code in a few systems that will help the game understand if there were some changes done to the "cell" sorta say.


Patch notes:

-Added battle speed modifier, allowing you to get through battles faster. From 0(Normal) to 3(Extremely fast.). Keep in mind that animations were not made with those speeds in mind so it might look a bit off. But it shouldn’t have any issues other than that.

-Adjusted enemies encounters based on the amount of party members in your current group.

(For full experience it’s still recommended to get party members, that’s just the nature of the game, but, playing solo outside of boss encounters should be possible now, as you can guess, companions are a big focus of the game.)

-Updated the engine to Unity 2019.3 Previously I’ve been developing on the beta branch, which was a bit stinky, but now the stable version should be good to go for long-term development.

-Accuracy is Agility now.

(Fuck hitting and missing chances, I’d rather keep everything 100% hittable for less frustrations.)

-Recoded the enemy attacking to be less messy code-wise, there was a huge problem where the enemy couldn’t figure out if the party member had a weakness or not, causing the multiplied(weak) damage to be applied on all characters in your party. That is now fixed.

-Enemies now fully utilize press turn just like the player, if the player has a weakness, they will make you suffer and get bonus turns just like the player does.

-Added support for boss patterns in the combat system. Now bosses don’t have to be constantly RNG. (Sakurai is still RNG based, I’ll give him attack patterns later. Currently Redrik is someone who utilizes this the most.)

-Fixed a bug where looking at Taz forced you to ask him questions.

-Fixed a bug where if you fought nagas before fighting Sakurai, Sakurai would break and possibly soft-lock the game.

-Fixed  a LOT more typos. The text should be easier to read across the game now. I went throughout the whole list of dialogue scripts, so here’s the changed. Read fixed stuff below:

-Majority if not all typos in Sheeva’s dialogue.

-Majority if not all typos in Taz’s dialogue. (Nothing is worse than bad grammar in erotic scenes. Yikes!)

-Majority if not all typos random encounters.

-Majority if not all typos in Geralt’s dialogue.

-Majority if not all typos in Yalrak’s dialogue. (Excluding the way he speaks. Part of his character.)

-Majority if not all typos in Waira’s dialogue.

-Majority if not all typos in Monster encounters and scenes.

-Minor typos in Sakurai’s dialogue.

-Minor typos in Journal.

-Minor typos in procedurally generated quests.

-Fixed some typos in static places in the world, but not all of them. If you spot any, please send them to me through my email.

-Main story has been expanded just a little bit.

(Talk to Sheeva in the wilderness to continue, alternatively if you are a new player, you would just go along the quest like nothing ever happened.)

-Fixed a bug where Parus Igna Unum (Medium fire spell) will show up as Low Kick in the Skill Menu.

-The map has been expanded a little bit and polished just a tiny bit more with some more tiles to add some variety.

-Waira got a little bit more character development. You can ask him some questions in camp now.

-Fixed the ability to ask Yalrak why is he always naked in the camp, that was unintended and unintentional, sine he does wear clothes when he’s out.

-Fixed bug that allowed some enemies to retain the weakness from the previous enemy, thus making them have more weaknesses than intended. (Whoops.)

-Fixed the XP gain after beating Sakurai to the intended level. (Double whoops.)

-Made some overworld icons less crusty.

-Fixed a bug in Crystal Lands that made the game text generator think that you are swimming instead of walking.  (Triple whoops. How did I not notice it in the first place.)

-A new location is now accessible, however it is not fully finished yet.

-Vastly improved performance and stability.

-Fixed some typos. But not all. Please, if you spot any, do report them to me through the email or forum posts. Thanks in advance. I may not respond quickly, but I still check there every few days/weeks.

-Tekr M/F scene is now just a little bit less vulgar. (Self explanatory, someone overused a certain word. How rude.)

-Removed a leftover question in Taz’s dialogue. That was… from the original plot I’ve scrapped. It’s super old, so don’t worry about it.
