A quickfix update. Sorry about that!


Well. Turns out there was a stinky bug last patch that i didn't notice.

I really hate when there are really obvious bugs in the game that ruin the experience, so i am dropping a quickfix this time. I usually drop these on patreon as early weekly unfinished releases. But, if the bug is critical like this one, I release it for everyone at the same time.

Like i said, i really can't stand when my projects are in a buggy state, so i hope that will fix that.

Sorry, I don't really have playtesters, and testing the game on my own can get a bit troublesome due to how complex everything gets codewise....

Either way, this update will fix that obnoxious bug, and will have some minor changes, and i hope that bug didn't ruin the experience for you, especially if you are a newcomer here. I genuinely want the game to feel good and feel polished, even at the early stages. I hope this is understandable.

Regardless, here's a minor changelog for this quickfix, as for the new patch, It'll come in two weeks, i hope. 

-Added small lore text and hints(maybe small references) in the main menu. 

-The bats now fight properly, aka their move is now fully implemented and working as intended.

-Another small UI change in the skills menu, in preparations to adding supportive skills to the player character.

-Added a system for status elements and attacks with special effects. (Right now there's only 6 status elements planned, but might be more. Right now only bleeding is properly implemented, as a test. But it works. It's damage is multiplied by the turns left, so be careful with that.)

-Also adjusted a system for the player buffs to be a bit more flexible. You won't really notice it, but codewise it's easier to manage.

-Fixed a bug where boss dialogues played in normal fights, obstructing the view and making no bloody sense. (That is the critical bug i was talking about, it's too visible and ruins the flow. Sorry about that.)

-Fixed a bug when certain location's text just wouldn't play out, making the world feel emptier. (That was another bug noticed by me, again, sorry about that.)


Also Xin might become a party member. Might. I've had some ideas for his possible moveset, so I might mess around with that.
