A new update
Heya otherworlders.
This update is not that big, it's mostly polish and some extra content.
That's about it, really.
I had some thoughts again, the game is slowly getting filled up with more content and polish... So I think once the first area will be finally full on with NPCs and quests and enemies, i'll make sure the game will be avaliable as a demo rather than an early in-dev preview as it is right now.
Honestly that thought excites me.
But as is, here's my plan:
Continue adding content in first area.
Polish, make sure the game is as bug-free as it can be.
Add a tutorial.
Release a demo, or well, TWO demos. One will be safe for work, and another one will be the same way as the game is right now....
On that i am pretty much ending my thoughts. Sorry if i am a bit unorganized, still looking for a job, but during that virus it proves harder than it should be.

Slowly filling the world up with content. Npcs, and polish. Some new sprites too.
NPCs now have minimalistic icons instead of letters as their world sprites.
Player now has a default minimalistic icon as well.
Updated skill icons.
Added rewards for Xin's quest and allowed him to join the camp. Not full on party member yet, however. I am currently reworking a "Skill" menu for the companions, since putting it all into a big text box of the dialogue is just dumb and slow. I'd rather make a separate menu that will have information easy on the eyes and easily organizable one too.
Added extra sound effects to some things.
Added placeholder(?) cc0 soundtrack with some minor modifications while I don't have any original music. Better than nothing, I suppose. And it gets the feeling for what i want in the game. So neat?
Added code related to music and extra sfx for various things.
Added an option to access the settings mid-game.
Fixed basic attack sound being too quiet.
Fixed minor typos.
Fixed a bug where certain text in the settings acted as a button.
Fixed the background image not changing in the skills menu when using a different image than the default one.
Fixed minor tiling issues in some of the battle arenas.
Fixed some issues with ultrawide resolution/improved ultrawide resolution support.
Fixed coloring showing up incorrectly in some quests tracked in the Journal.
Finally permamently fixed the turn animator playing in overworld. I finally found out what was causing it. So it should work 100% properly now.
Possibly fixed an issue where the player could still have a turn after bleeding out on their turn.
