Heya otherworlders,

It’s time for yet another patch.

I am going to start with the bad news, I think. My ISP is being a huge shithead at the moment, and I am looking to switch to another one soon. Unfortunately, I am a bit low on funds, so if I disappear for a few days every now and then, it’s probably due to that. And due to my teeth.

(That’s the reason why I actually decided to go and set up a Patreon, due to my shitty ISP, feel free to check it out, every bit of support is highly appreciated! The main reward there is just earlier weekly builds, voting on stuff that i will do next and little stuff like having your name in the credits,  so if you wanna play earlier (buggier)) builds or support me, that might be up your valley.)

On the better note, I’ve implemented some more content, some small requests and did some bug fixes. Hope you’ll enjoy this new version!

The next patch will be a mix of new content and features. Just like the one before that patch.

Regardless. Here’s the changelog:

-Implemented a few more npcs (Sweetheart and Redrik), and their initial “content scenes” too. They are fairly easy to access. Especially Redrik’s.

-Metric to Imperial converter has been implemented.

-Vitality is now calculated correctly, thus adding more maximum hp to the player as intended. (Whoops.)

-And other Minor bugs and typos fixed.

-Fixed a rare bug that made “ENEMY TURN/PLAYER TURN” Animations get stuck in the middle of the screen. (or at least, it should be fixed, if it still appears, please give me the reproduction steps.)

-Fixed a bug where Tekr female’s scene overwrote male’s. Somehow those just happen.

-Fixed a bug where in dialogue if you had to complete a check for a stat, the other dialogue would get affected and will not allow you to reply to a different npc.

-Fixed another bug that allowed you to load the game… when you had no save file available. Leading to strange results.

-Added a framework for the world map. (Currently not fully finished, but it’s there, you can access it after you’ve beaten Sakurai and went to the left. (I’ve decided to split the world into smaller chunks for optimizations and organization’s sake.) WARNING: It is currently unoptimized for mobile. Don’t expect great results controls on that version of the game yet.

-Added an experimental function to move the game to sd card/from sd card. It is currently untested since I have a phone with internal memory only. Sorry in advance. I just hope it works.

-Dungeon is currently blocked off due to a switch to hand-crafted instead of procedural. Hand crafted dungeons are going to be way more fun and have more content instead of whatever shitstorm I have right now. Hope that's understandable.

-UI was adjusted a bit to fix issues with the 3rd party member. (it’s still not final, keep that in mind.)

-Made the app’s icon less crusty. Now it doesn’t look like an eyesore on your phone or PC.  

-The size is now smaller, mainly due to me removing stuff that was never meant to be put in the game's early builds anyway (i.e, early music tests.). So don't worry about it.

Important: Due to some changes in the android version (i.e, experimental move to SD support.), it might be not possible to install the new version over previous version.
If that happens, that means you need to delete the app and install it again.

BUT.

Since deleting the application usually means also deleting your data, I highly recommend going into Android/data/com.ssss.Zetharis/ and copying filesSaveGame.sav somewhere else and pasting it back into the same folder after updating if you want to save your progress.

Please understand that those things happen sometimes.


So here's a little devlog, first of all, thank you for actually being interested in what i write lol.

Secondly, thank you for sticking with this project so far. It is still my passion project and i don't plan on stopping supporting/making it any time soon.

I mainly wanted to write here about the complexity of this project overall.

I know that since it's made in Unity some people might think it didn't took much effort, but. In reality it did. There's so much lines of code and systems that (luckily) just work.

Not trying to brag by any means, mostly saying that there's so many systems that interact with each other, it gets a bit complex when i want to write X or Y or add Z into the game, still i am trying my best and i hope all of you are enjoying all i've got so far.

I don't know how many of you would be interested in how exactly the game works in the background, but, if there's interest, i'd be more than happy to talk about it or perhaps show off my workflow or explain the stuff behind the scenes...

Though honestly, it's not that different compared to other game developements, at least from what i saw when i was checking game dev documentaries before.

Pardon me for rambling. I am still not exactly used to talking about this project publically since i've been usually developing it in a complete silence before, heh.

I guess i just wanted to write my thoughts here?

I don't know.

How do you find Redrik looked literally everywhere

Heya, sorry for the late responce, was asleep. He's in the cave below the beach. That cave briefly emits light on the grass, to show that there's a secret path.


I suppose if he wasn't easily visible that means i should make the light a bit brighter, my bad.

After the sex scene with redrik can you not have sex with him again or is it a bug, also will he ever have  option for him to be a top

Not all characters will have the same/repeatable scene.

Because like, it wouldn't make much sense to repeat the same things he told you over and over again if it already happened, right?

In Redrik's case, the scene is unique due to the consiquence that changes up the gameplay.

As the storyline/questline goes on, he will have another scene if you already spent time with him.

maybe sometime later make a sort of gallery or story page for the scenes if you unlock it in game maybe that would work
